I had an absolute blast yesterday! The track will be a huge success, connected it will be one of the most technical tracks in the country, I am proud to say that I am a member! All the different members that I meet yesterday were great people also; it will be THE place to hang out!

I just wanted to thank you all for letting me instruct and for letting me drive my GTI yesterday. I believe my students greatly benefited from having proper instruction. My father has run Blackhawk for Chicago PCA for around 30 years. In some way or form I have helped him run these events over the years. I must say that your event yesterday was very well organized. Registration was a breeze, the classroom instruction was informative, the start line was run safely and the corner works waived the appropriate flags. I must say that I was very impressed. There is a new place to race close to home.

I had a great time....It was a great experience, even better than I thought it would be. I'm just bummed I have to wait 6 long months to do it again. I am singing the praises to my boss (who at one time considered a corporate membership) in hopes he will sign up. All the members I met were very nice & I'm looking forward to making more friends. Thanks for your e-mail and for facilitating the first event on the North track. I think that it is hard to give detailed first hand input on the track, but my first hand impression is very positive. I had no problems keeping my line, which surprised me given that I was not running in aggressive mode. However, the new asphalt combined with all the new rubber laid down gave a wonderful grip, which most likely will wear off. Consequently, the track struck me as somewhat predictive (although I managed to get one instructor motion sick...), but (as previously mentioned) I am sure that feeling will wear off.

I had so much fun it felt illegal, but the most important point is, it
WASN'T!! I also couldn't believe how fast the whole track set-up is
coming along. There's a BIG difference week to week! Keep up the good work!!
Any chance of doing it again before it snows? Even if it snows, I guess
we could really check out our winter tires.... :-)

WOW! It’s even better than I thought it was going to be. The track layout is challenging and keeps you thinking the whole time. Definitely not a track that you will get bored on. Makes other tracks in the Midwest pale in comparison. I only got about 6 laps in before my MAF sensor blew, but how exciting those laps were. My son, Ryan, had nothing but praise for the layout. He managed to get in 2 complete sessions and is excited about the spring opening.
I’m sure that the motorcyclists will have a blast with all the turns. There aren’t a lot of straights and that’s OK, anyone can go fast in a straight line! I think that there is just enough of all possible scenarios in just the North track alone and by combining the South loop, what a blast this is going to be. Once this track is being used actively the word is really going to spread and those that didn’t get in will be the disappointed ones. You snooze, you loose!
I can’t wait to try the Kart track. If it’s anything like the main track you are going to have a problem with turning people down. I hope ACC all the best and continued success. I was amazed at how much has been accomplished just in the last few weeks. The main gate / arch is VERY impressive and a real class act (as is the entire country club setting). I can’t say enough about it to do you guys justice.
I only wish that I could have had the opportunity to be an initial partner. Drive Fast. Be Safe.

Talking with so many people that shared the same excitement as me, made for very special weekend. I really enjoyed myself! Had to come back on Sunday to run again. Both of you have done a great job. I look forward in spending a lot of time at Autobahn. I remember like it was yesterday the first time I met the both of you at the karting event. I never doubted that you would succeed. What would be helpful to me would be a track map including turn radiuses. Could Tom describe the fastest line around the track including car positioning and corner set-up and turn in points for a complete lap around the track ? I know Speed Merchants gave each person a guide of this type to all new drivers at Gingerman. I found this most helpful. Good continued luck at Autobahn and don't hesitate to call on me should you think that I can be of help.

It's as if one has gone to heaven! You know...the members are friendly, the cars are really cool, the road course is insanely fun, AND the wife approves.
I had so much fun I couldn't wipe the smile off my face when I got home!
I'm afraid my fuel, brake and tire expenses will far exceed my membership costs.
To bad life's problems aren't this simple. Can't wait to see the photos,

The north track is GREAT! (maybe except for the bump into turn 1.. ?!)
Tom Bagley does an excellent job with the drivers' meetings.. go figure. ;-)
My brother Don and son Kyle and I totally enjoyed running our 'street cars' in the RAIN. ;-) Running in the rain is something we actually look FORWARD to doing. Hopefully Autobahn can build corner worker stations where the workers are 'up' off the ground and have generous overhang roofing for shelter from rain / sun.. ?? It's definitely coming along! I had a great time and look forward to running the track several times next year. Running in the rain,
as I did Saturday morning, was a good way to learn the track as it kept the speeds down. I'm glad I took my Subaru WRX STi as the 4 wheel drive made it an easy drive.

My son Jack and I had a great time. Besides of course the track driving, I think one of the benefits of a club like this is the interaction, camaraderie and "talks" you have with other drivers, owners etc. that should really improve a lot over time as people get to know one another. Usually at track days for various clubs it's a bit disjointed and hard to get to know others. I think anything you can do to encourage this interaction (functions, sports nights, etc) will help.
The track is very well conceived and the layout is aggressive yet keeps you paying attention! You did a good job preparing everyone. There was some passing in non-designated passing areas, which should be watched. All in all it is very cool and something I'm very much looking forward to.... especially as my golf game skills dwindle in the coming years, but hopefully my driving skills will increase to offset!!

I had a great time this past weekend. I like the North track - somewhat like Gingerman - it keeps you thinking most all of the time, and I know that 2 and 6 will frustrate racers for many years to come! I'm looking forward to trying the South track and to getting a real race car out there!

The track is just fantastic, and I thought somewhat technically challenging, and there were two corners that will take me a while to dial in to my satisfaction. The Cobra was a hoot to drive especially with its old street tires. That will change with the purchase of wider wheels and new track tires. I had a great time both on the track and above it.

Thanks for a great track day Friday. The short track is fantastic! There are elements of Gingerman and Road America, but without the loong tow.......After a few laps, I felt very familiar with the track and can't wait to get back out there with the race car next year! I would like to commend the partners on doing an outstanding job on track layout and facilities design. I can see quite a few days next year where I might be "offsite all day at a client meeting" !

I was out there on Wednesday, for curb testing, in my Modena, the track was incredible. I drove on both tracks and then ran the combined track. It was great. I can guarantee I will be out there every week next year. I will be adding a few race cars so that I can enjoy the ACC.

I thought the day went really well. I think most drivers were keeping up a pretty good pace, but it was remarkably clean... Not a single off-track excursion that I know of. Also, a good mix of cars and
driver skill levels made for an interesting day. As for the track, I liked the mix of low and high speed corners. You've really got to haul the car down for a couple of turns, but people will really be flying
through a couple of others with a little practice.
